Oatmeal & Apple Butter Bars

A quick and easy treat that makes a perfect grab-and-go snack. Lining the pan with foil makes removal a breeze

Oatmeal & Apple Butter Bars


Servings: makes 24 servings

3 2/3 cups MUSSELMAN’S® Premium Apple Butter
3 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
3 1/2 cups Old fashioned or quick oats (not instant)
2 3/4 cups Light brown sugar
3/4 tsp. Salt
1 3/4 cup Butter, melted
Non-stick baking spray (as needed)


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F conventional or 300°F convection. Line a half-size sheet pan with foil, leaving extra overhangs on the ends. Spray foil with baking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl equipped with whip, whisk together flour, oats, brown sugar and salt. Stir in butter with paddle attachment just until mixture forms clumps.
  3. Press half the mixture evenly into lined sheet pan. (Tip: For even bars, top dough with a sheet of parchment and press another pan on top to even out dough.)
  4. Spread dough evenly with apple butter. Crumble remaining half of dough on top.
  5. Bake about 35 minutes or until bars are light golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  6. Cut into bars and remove from pan using foil overhangs. Refrigerate any leftover bars.
