Apple and Vegetable Salad

A healthful version of a familiar dish, this slaw combines cabbage with apple slices, carrots, celery and raisins in a creamy dressing.


Servings: 1/2 cup, makes 24 servings

3 cups sour cream (low-fat sour cream is optional)
3/4 cup MUSSELMAN'S Cider Vinegar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. kosher salt
1 Tbsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 1/2 qt. shredded white cabbage
1 1/2 qt. (about 52 oz.) MUSSELMAN'S Sliced Apples
3 cups grated carrots
3 cups diced celery
1 cup dry seedless raisins


  1. In small bowl, combine sour cream, vinegar, sugar, lemon juice, salt, mustard and pepper; mix well. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours before using as directed.
  2. In large bowl combine cabbage, sliced apples, carrots, celery and raisins; toss to mix well. Drizzle reserved sour cream dressing over vegetables and toss well to thoroughly coat. Cover and chill at least 4 hours before serving.
