2 sheets puff pastry dough (12x20-inch)

1 lb. cream cheese, softened

1 1/2 cups plus 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar

2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 1/4 qt. (approx. 42 oz.) LUCKY LEAF® Regular or Premium Cherry Pie Filling

1 cup sliced almonds


  1. Preheat oven to 300˚F convection or 350˚F conventional.
  2. Roll out each sheet of puff pastry to a 21 x 13-inch rectangle. Place 1 sheet of puff pastry into the bottom of an ungreased full size, shallow hotel pan; keep chilled.
  3. In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups sugar and vanilla. Spread cream cheese mixture over pastry dough in hotel pan.
  4. Over top of cream cheese, spread a layer of cherry pie filling to cover completely and evenly. Top with remaining sheet of puff pastry rolled to completely cover top of filling in hotel pan. Pat down gently.
  5. In a small bowl, mix remaining sugar and almonds. Sprinkle mixture over the top of dough. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature before cutting into 24 equal pieces.

Special Note:

**LUCKY LEAF/MUSSELMAN'S Strawberry, Peach or Blueberry or LUCKY LEAF Pineapple Pie Fillings can be substituted for Cherry Pie Filling.
