Apple Bread Pudding

This simple, classic dessert incorporates bread cubes with spices and Apple Pie Filling to make a delicious, easy-to-make dessert.

Apple Bread Pudding


Servings: 24

1 gal. small bread cubes
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 qt. (about 64 oz.) Lucky Leaf® Premium Apple Fruit Filling*


*Lucky Leaf Cherry, Peach, Blueberry or Pineapple Fruit Fillings can be substituted for Apple Filling


  1. In large bowl toss bread cubes with sugar, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg to mix completely. Pour 2/3 of mixture into a greased full-size shallow hotel pan and spread into and even layer.
  2. Spread apple pie filling over top of bread cubes into an even layer. Sprinkle remaining 1/3 of bread cube mixture over filling.
  3. Bake at 325°F. convection or 375°F. conventional oven for 30-40 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top. Remove from heat and hold until ready to serve warm.
  4. To Serve: Portion a 1/2 plus cup of Apple Bread Pudding onto a dessert plate or dish and top with 1/4 cup pourable low-fat yogurt or half & half, if desired.
