Who wouldn't want to wake up to this special twist on an old breakfast favorite, made with oatmeal, cinnamon, brown sugar and apple pie filling baked in the oven into perfection.
6 cups old-fashioned oats
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
5 cups LUCKY LEAF® Apple Pie Filling
2 cups liquid egg
1 1/2 qt. low-fat milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Warmed half & half for serving, if desired
In a large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir in Lucky Leaf® Premium Apple Pie Filling; mix well.
In a second large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Stir egg mixture into oat mixture until combined. Pour mixture into a full-size, greased hotel pan. Bake 45-55 minutes or until oatmeal mixture is set. Remove from heat and keep warm.
To Serve: For each serving, scoop 1 cup warm baked oatmeal into a warm bowl and drizzle with 2 Tbsp. half & half, if desired.
*If desired, substitute peach or berry pie filling for the apple pie filling.
