Sweet n Salty Apple Ice Cream


Even the name makes you want to try this house-made ice cream, made with a milk base, folded with apple pie filling and served with hot caramel sauce.

Ingredients

24 servings
1 1/2 qt. LUCKY LEAF® Premium Apple Fruit Filling
3 cups cold whole milk
1 1/2 cups cold heavy cream
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. table salt
3 cups prepared caramel sauce
1/2 tsp. sea salt or Kosher salt

Method

Reserve about 1 cup apple slices from a can of Lucky Leaf® Premium Apple Pie Filling.

In a blender, combine remaining pie filling, milk, cream, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and table salt. Cover and blend until smooth. Chop reserved apple slices and stir into ice cream mixture.

Pour mixture into ice cream freezer. Freeze according to equipment directions, or spoon into a freezer container and freeze for at least 30 minutes or until desired consistency.

To serve, heat caramel sauce and kosher salt in a small saucepan over low heat until warmed through.
5. For each serving, top 1/2 cup ice cream with 2 Tbsp. warmed caramel sauce.
