What better combination of flavors- strawberries and chocolate. The delicate flavor of white chocolate enhances the strawberry filling in this layered dessert with sugar cookies replacing pound cake in this classic sweet which adds a crunchy layer to the rich, smooth fruit filling and white chocolate mousse.
1 1/2 qt. crushed sugar cookies
2 qt. White Chocolate Mousse*
1 1/2 qt. frozen whipped topping, thawed
To Assemble Trifles: In each wide 12-oz. wine glass, layer:
- 1/3 cup fruit filling
- 1/4 cup crushed sugar cookies
- 1/3 cup White Chocolate Mousse
- 1/3 cup whipped topping
- 1 Tbsp. dollop fruit filling
When assembled, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
^Other Lucky Leaf Fruit Filling or Topping may be used, such as Blueberry, Peach, Cherry, Lemon, Butterscotch, etc.
*White Chocolate Mousse
Yield: 2 qt.
3 cups heavy cream
2 Tbsp. fine granulated sugar
12 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
10 oz. white baking chocolate, melted
In a chilled mixing bowl equipped with a whip, beat cream until thick. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Hold.
In another mixing bowl equipped with a paddle, beat cream cheese and vanilla until fluffy. Add white chocolate and beat until smooth. Fold in whipped cream mixture by hand using a spatula until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use as directed.
