Fruit crisps are familiar fare at tables around the country and everyone finds them comforting and satisfying. This simple version is filled with cherry filling and topped with an oat-nut-brown sugar topping that makes a perfect compliment to the smooth, sweet filling.
3 1/2 qt. (126 oz.) LUCKY LEAF® Premium Cherry Fruit Filling
1 qt. cup quick-cooking oats
2 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans
Frozen yogurt or ice cream (vanilla, maple, cinnamon, almond, etc.)
Preheat oven to 350°F conventional or 300°F convection.
Place fruit filling in bottom of full-size steamtable pan (20" x 12" x 3"). Reserve.
In a bowl, combine butter, oatmeal, brown sugar, flour and pecans until crumbly. Sprinkle mixture over top of fruit filling in pan.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling. Remove from heat and cool 15 minutes before serving.
To Serve: Serve a 1 cup scoop of crisp accompanied by frozen yogurt or ice cream.
**Note: LUCKY LEAF Lemon, Peach, Blueberry or Pineapple Fruit Fillings can be substituted for Cherry Fruit Filling.
