Caramel Apple Gingerbread

The rich, fragrant aroma of spicy gingerbread permeates the kitchen and dining room as it bakes. But the additional surprise of apple and caramel makes this special and unforgettable.


24 pieces
40 oz. gingerbread package mix
1 3/4 qt. (63 oz.) LUCKY LEAF® Apple Pie Filling
1 1/2 cups caramel sauce
3 cups whipped topping


Preheat oven to 350°F conventional or 300°F convection.
Lightly grease a full-size steamtable pan (12”x20”x2”); set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, prepare gingerbread mix according to package directions. Fold the apple pie filling into the batter. Spread batter into prepared steamtable pan. Bake 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Remove from heat and place pan on baking rack to cool at least 30 minutes.
To Serve: Cut cake into 24 pieces and serve each piece drizzled with 1 Tbsp. hot caramel sauce and a 2 Tbsp. dollop of whipped topping.
