Apple Smoothies with Variations


1 smoothie/2 cups
1/2 cup Musselman’s® Natural Apple Sauce or Cinnamon Apple Sauce
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup vanilla non-fat yogurt
1 medium banana
2 Tbsp. wheat germ
Apple pie spice mix or ground nutmeg, to garnish


Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Serve in a chilled glass with a dusting of nutmeg to garnish.

Variations Include:
Harvest Blend Smoothie: In a blender combine 1 cup apple sauce, 1/2 cup apple juice, 1/2 cup frozen cranberries, 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt and 1/4 tsp. apple pie spice or ground ginger. Process until smooth. Add 1 –2 Tbsp. of honey, if desired, for a sweeter drink.
Apple Berry Plus Smoothie: In a blender combine 1/2 cup apple sauce, 3/4 cup apple juice, 1 cup frozen berry blend and 1 Tbsp. flaxseed oil and process until smooth.
