Apple Butter Pancetta Blue Cheese Pizza

The sweetness of apple butter combines with the savory flavors of blue cheese, pancetta and arugula to make a delightfully different pizza.


2 ¼ cups Musselman’s® Premium Homestyle Apple Butter 

12 oz. pancetta, cubed

flour for dusting, as needed

3 lbs. pizza dough

3 cups mozzarella cheese

1 ½ cups blue cheese

2 tsp. balsamic vinegar

4 tsp. olive oil

3 cups arugula

salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste



Preheat oven to 425°F. In a medium sauté pan, sauté pancetta over medium heat until lightly browned, about 7-10 minutes. Remove and drain on absorbent paper.


Dust 3 half-sheet pans lightly with flour. Roll out each pound of dough to a 12” to 14” circle.


Spread ¾ cup apple butter on each pizza. Layer with ½ cup mozzarella, 4 ounces pancetta, ¼ cup blue cheese and ½ cup mozzarella.


Bake for 18-20 minutes until dough is baked through and pizza is browned on top.


While pizza is baking, combine vinegar and oil in medium bowl and whisk until emulsified. Season with salt and pepper. Toss arugula with dressing.


When pizzas are done, top each with one-third of the arugula mixture. Sprinkle pizzas evenly with remaining blue cheese. Serve immediately.
