Apple Bread Pudding

This simple, classic dessert incorporates bread cubes with spices and Apple Pie Filling to make a delicious, easy-to-make dessert.

1 gal. small bread cubes
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 qt. (about 64 oz.) Lucky Leaf® Premium Apple Fruit Filling**


In large bowl toss bread cubes with sugar, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg to mix completely. Pour 2/3 of mixture into a greased full-size shallow hotel pan and spread into and even layer.
Spread apple pie filling over top of bread cubes into an even layer. Sprinkle remaining 1/3 of bread cube mixture over filling.
Bake at 325°F. convection or 375°F. conventional oven for 30-40 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top. Remove from heat and hold until ready to serve warm.
To Serve: Portion a 1/2 plus cup of Apple Bread Pudding onto a dessert plate or dish and top with 1/4 cup pourable low-fat yogurt or half & half, if desired.
**LUCKY LEAF/MUSSELMAN'S Cherry, Peach or Blueberry or LUCKY LEAF Pineapple Pie Fillings can be substituted for Apple Pie Filling.
